Hello — I'm Nicholas Steer.
I'm the founder of NSDigital Consulting, and a proud father of twin toddlers. Based in Claremont, Cape Town, I design, build and look after WordPress websites for organisations that genuinely can't afford for their site to go down.
I'm a solo consultant by choice — not a 40-person agency. That means when you work with me, you're working directly with the person who builds and maintains your site. No account managers, no hand-offs, no layers between you and the work.
Why non-profits, specifically
Early in my career I found myself drawn to organisations doing work that mattered but running on stretched budgets and stretched teams — no in-house developer, no dedicated IT department, and a website that had usually been inherited from someone who'd since moved on.
That's become the work I care most about: making sure a limited budget is respected, that non-technical staff can actually manage their own content, and that the site stays secure and online without anyone needing to think about it day-to-day. It's why organisations like SARAO and Scalabrini have stayed with me for years, not months.
